Success Stories

A little about Me...

I'm an operations and business transformation leader with over 23 years of experience across banking, BPO, customer service, collections, client operations, and account management. Over the years, I've led large teams across international and domestic operations, with a strong focus on productivity, service delivery, workforce planning, KPI governance, customer outcomes, and operational improvement.

A large part of my career has involved running high-volume, target-driven operations, building strong managers, improving performance through data, and driving transformation initiatives across people, process, and governance. I've worked in organizations such as HSBC, IBM Daksh, Capgemini, Quickom, Transcendix, and MegaaOpes, where I've handled everything from collections and service operations to client growth, account management, and operational leadership.

What sets me apart as a Leader is the ability to lead at scale, stay close to the numbers, drive accountability through teams, solve operational issues quickly, and build a culture where performance, discipline, and people development all go hand in hand.

Leadership principles in action

Sixteen examples — situation, task, action, result.

01

Customer Obsession

Leaders start with the customer and work backwards. They work vigorously to earn and keep customer trust.

Situation

At Transcendix Partners LLP, enterprise clients in our corporate training business were reporting inconsistent engagement and slow program rollout times, threatening key account renewals.

Task

I needed to restructure our account management approach to put client outcomes first, regain their trust, and protect core revenue.

Action

  • Listened directly to corporate clients through monthly QBRs to understand real pain points rather than assuming needs.
  • Redesigned the project lifecycle and engagement workflow, removing internal friction for faster program delivery.
  • Coached account management teams to act as consultative advisors rather than transactional vendors.
  • Instituted proactive health-check dashboards to catch delivery issues before they impacted customers.

Result

Secured long-term renewals, resulting in account expansion that generated approximately 40% of overall organizational revenue.

02

Ownership

Leaders are owners. They think long term and don't sacrifice long-term value for short-term results.

Situation

At Quickom Information Technology, our 500+ FTE delivery operation was struggling with rising overhead costs and operational bottlenecks that threatened profitability.

Task

As Deputy General Manager, I needed to step beyond daily delivery duties and fix the underlying operating model for long-term growth and margin health.

Action

  • Took full accountability for P&L, workforce planning, and operational budget, treating opex as my own capital.
  • Dismantled legacy silos between recruitment, capacity planning, and live operations to create unified accountability.
  • Overhauled workforce utilization and established transparent KPI governance across all 500+ FTEs.
  • Personally resolved cross-departmental handoffs and friction points degrading efficiency.

Result

Delivered 30% overall business growth and built a scalable operating model that permanently lowered cost-to-serve.

03

Invent and Simplify

Leaders expect and require innovation and invention from their teams and always find ways to simplify.

Situation

At Megaa Opes Solutions, 300+ FTE BPO operations handled 15 complex voice and non-voice processes, suffering from high AHT and fragmented workflows.

Task

I had to simplify delivery workflows and introduce process automation without compromising quality, compliance, or customer experience.

Action

  • Spearheaded a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt optimization project across customer support and back-office lines.
  • Mapped end-to-end customer journeys to purge redundant steps and unnecessary approval gates.
  • Drove automation and streamlined back-office logging to eliminate manual data entry for front-line agents.
  • Consolidated performance tracking into real-time KPI dashboards for instant floor visibility.

Result

Significantly reduced Average Handle Time while strictly preserving compliance and quality across all 15 processes.

04

Are Right, A Lot

Leaders have strong judgment and good instincts. They seek diverse perspectives and work to disconfirm their beliefs.

Situation

As Channel Partner at HST Futures International, managing FOREX portfolios required precise decisions in an exceptionally volatile market.

Task

My objective was a disciplined investment and risk management strategy to consistently grow client portfolios through data-driven judgment.

Action

  • Ignored market hype and established a quantitative technical and macroeconomic analysis framework.
  • Actively sought counter-arguments and alternative analyses to disconfirm strategies before committing capital.
  • Established rigid risk-mitigation rules, position-sizing protocols, and stop-loss mechanisms.
  • Reviewed trade execution metrics weekly to continuously refine entries and exits.

Result

Grew a FOREX portfolio from $10,000 to over $100,000 — a tenfold return through superior risk management.

05

Learn and Be Curious

Leaders are never done learning and always seek to improve themselves. They are curious about new possibilities.

Situation

After building a career in traditional offline operations and sales, I saw enterprise growth shifting toward MarTech, cloud analytics, and digital ecosystems.

Task

I set out to master modern digital marketing frameworks, CRM platforms, and operational business intelligence tools.

Action

  • Completed a Post Graduate Program in Digital Marketing from Purdue University via Simplilearn.
  • Earned hands-on certifications in Salesforce CRM, Power BI, Jira, and PRINCE2.
  • Applied learning immediately by building Power BI dashboards to track operational KPIs.
  • Integrated modern CRM pipeline management into sales and client success operations to improve forecasting.

Result

Modernized the operational tech stack, driving a 20% increase in team productivity through digitized workflows.

06

Hire and Develop the Best

Leaders raise the performance bar with every hire and promotion. Leaders develop leaders and take coaching seriously.

Situation

At HSBC, the credit card collections function required a step-change in performance and compliance to meet stringent UK regulatory standards.

Task

I needed to raise the capability bar, coach low-performing agents, and build a culture of continuous learning.

Action

  • Earned HSBC UK accreditation as Credit & Risk Trainer, Quality Trainer, and Call Coach to personally lead training.
  • Redesigned onboarding and floor coaching with interactive call-listening and real-time sessions.
  • Ran weekly one-on-one coaching for low performers on negotiation skills and compliance.
  • Identified high-potential talent and built pathways into team lead and quality analyst roles.

Result

Built a top-tier delivery unit recognised in HSBC's 'Top Talent' pool, driving consecutive revenue surges of 58% and 110%.

07

Insist on the Highest Standards

Leaders have relentlessly high standards and are continually raising the bar to deliver high quality services and processes.

Situation

At ACW Holdings LLC in Dubai, the newly created 300+ FTE collections division lacked unified quality workflows, SOPs, and governance.

Task

I was hired to establish a world-class collections operation from scratch with uncompromised standards.

Action

  • Built the division's governance frameworks, service delivery metrics, and QA workflows from the ground up.
  • Established a zero-tolerance policy for compliance and quality defects with real-time call auditing.
  • Ran daily operational huddles and weekly performance audits to enforce standards consistently.
  • Re-engineered recovery workflows to strip lag time and improve collection conversion rates.

Result

Boosted operational efficiency and revenue generation by 20% while building a baseline that supported sustained growth.

08

Think Big

Leaders create and communicate a bold direction that inspires results. They think differently and look around corners.

Situation

At IBM Daksh, managing the Lloyds TSB Bank UK collections account, incremental operational tweaks no longer met aggressive recovery targets.

Task

I was tasked with step-change financial recovery outcomes rather than marginal single-digit improvements.

Action

  • Introduced a structured Lean Six Sigma DMAIC framework to overhaul the operational model.
  • Overhauled customer segmentation to allocate high-value delinquent accounts to the most skilled negotiators.
  • Revamped agent incentives and created skill-building workshops on empathetic collections strategies.
  • Established real-time analytics to dynamically reallocate capacity based on call-volume peaks.

Result

Delivered £29.79M in total collections — 104% year-on-year growth that shattered historical account benchmarks.

09

Bias for Action

Speed matters in business. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study.

Situation

At Edge Customs, sales growth had stagnated due to slow proposal turnaround, long sales cycles, and hesitant go-to-market decisions.

Task

As Head of Sales & Marketing, I needed to accelerate sales velocity and capture emerging market opportunities rapidly.

Action

  • Recognised most pipeline decisions were two-way doors and eliminated multi-layer quote approvals.
  • Implemented a quick-turnaround consultative sales model empowering reps to negotiate and close directly.
  • Rapidly tested new channels and partnerships, doubling down on winners and cutting weak campaigns fast.
  • Established daily pipeline standups to clear deal roadblocks within hours instead of weeks.

Result

Delivered consistent 20% year-on-year sales growth while drastically reducing client acquisition lead times.

10

Frugality

Accomplish more with less. Constraints breed resourcefulness, self-sufficiency, and invention.

Situation

At Capgemini India, during an enterprise HR Transformation project, global clients demanded reduced operational overhead without sacrificing service quality.

Task

I had to identify inefficiencies, optimize FTE allocation, and design a lean target operating model.

Action

  • Conducted time-and-motion studies, process mapping, and FTE capacity analysis across client HR functions.
  • Executed Lean gap analyses to uncover duplicative approval gates, manual re-work, and idle processing time.
  • Redesigned the target operating model to consolidate shared services without hiring additional resources.
  • Partnered with transition architects to automate routine administrative tasks.

Result

Lowered client operational expenditure by over 15% through optimized FTE utilization and streamlined workflows.

11

Earn Trust

Leaders listen attentively, speak candidly, and treat others respectfully. They are vocally self-critical.

Situation

Stepping into Head of Operations at Megaa Opes Solutions, I inherited a fragmented 300+ FTE floor with low morale and mistrust between client management and team leads.

Task

I needed to rebuild trust across the workforce, open transparent channels with global stakeholders, and restore cohesion.

Action

  • Instituted weekly open-door skip-level sessions and floor huddles, listening without defensiveness.
  • Established transparent dashboards, openly sharing misses with clients alongside root-cause and corrective plans.
  • Took personal accountability for shortfalls in client reviews rather than deflecting to junior team members.
  • Ensured commitments to staff on rosters, incentives, and tools were consistently fulfilled.

Result

Rebuilt team trust, reduced floor attrition, and achieved a 95%+ client satisfaction rating across executive reviews.

12

Dive Deep

Leaders operate at all levels, stay connected to the details, audit frequently, and are skeptical when metrics and anecdote differ.

Situation

At HSBC, UK credit card recovery rates dropped unexpectedly in a key account bucket, but summary metrics failed to reveal the cause.

Task

I needed to deep-dive into operational micro-data to isolate the root cause and restore target recovery performance.

Action

  • Bypassed dashboard summaries and pulled raw agent call logs, dialer penetration reports, and payment promises.
  • Spent two full days on the floor conducting side-by-side auditing of live customer negotiations.
  • Discovered a dialer contact-schedule misconfiguration plus a gap in handling customer hardship claims.
  • Personally updated coaching scripts and restructured dialer strategy to match customer availability.

Result

Fixed the root cause within one week, driving a collections bounce-back that contributed to 110% YoY revenue growth.

13

Have Backbone; Disagree and Commit

Leaders are obligated to respectfully challenge decisions when they disagree. Once a decision is determined, they commit fully.

Situation

At Quickom Information Technology, senior leadership proposed across-the-board headcount cuts to hit immediate quarterly profit targets.

Task

I had to challenge the initiative because raw headcount reduction would damage SLAs, breach contracts, and destroy enterprise value.

Action

  • Pushed back with data-backed capacity models proving cuts would trigger severe contract penalties.
  • Proposed an alternative focused on workflow optimization, shift re-alignment, and process automation.
  • Debated respectfully with executive stakeholders, standing firm on quality while presenting financial tradeoffs.
  • Executed the agreed revised optimization plan with total commitment once leadership aligned.

Result

Hit profitability targets without sacrificing headcount or client SLAs, preserving key accounts and delivering 30% growth.

14

Deliver Results

Leaders focus on the key inputs for their business and deliver them with the right quality and in a timely manner.

Situation

At HSBC, my operations group faced exceptionally aggressive recovery targets across UK credit card portfolios in a challenging economy.

Task

I was accountable for driving collection revenues, reducing default rates, and maintaining absolute regulatory compliance.

Action

  • Broke annual financial targets into granular daily and weekly metrics for every team lead and agent.
  • Implemented real-time performance tracking and daily coaching loops to close gaps immediately.
  • Restructured shift schedules to align peak agent availability with high-contact customer time slots.
  • Motivated the team through recognition programs and focused skill-building workshops.

Result

Exceeded all financial targets, delivering consecutive collection revenue increases of 58% in 2005 and 110% in 2006.

15

Strive to be Earth's Best Employer

Leaders work every day to create a safer, more productive, higher performing, and more diverse workplace.

Situation

Managing a high-stress 300+ FTE delivery floor at Megaa Opes Solutions, agent burnout and turnover were key risks to stability.

Task

I needed to foster a supportive, inclusive, high-performing culture that prioritized employee growth and operational health.

Action

  • Created structured wellness and recognition initiatives, celebrating top performers and milestones publicly.
  • Implemented transparent skill-development frameworks with clear pathways into supervisory roles.
  • Ran anonymous pulse surveys and acted quickly on floor-level friction points.
  • Coached managers to lead with empathy — fair scheduling, balanced workloads, and wellness support.

Result

Reduced attrition by 25%, boosted engagement scores, and built a resilient, high-performing workforce.

16

Success and Scale Bring Broad Responsibility

Leaders create more than they consume and always leave things better than how they found them.

Situation

Leading large-scale BPO operations across India and global environments meant wide-ranging impacts on client data, security, and workforce development.

Task

I needed to ensure our scaling footprint maintained exemplary governance, data privacy, and ethical compliance.

Action

  • Integrated risk, compliance, and data governance frameworks into daily procedures across all 15 process lines.
  • Championed inclusive hiring from non-traditional backgrounds with paid skill-building programs.
  • Mandated comprehensive data privacy training across all voice and non-voice units.
  • Prioritized sustainable resource utilization, reducing paper waste and energy consumption.

Result

Achieved 100% compliance audit ratings across all global client accounts while building an ethical, sustainable operation.
